As a son of Nigerian immigrants, Yinka grew up in the backdrop of a racially divided Chicago. It was his status as the son of successful immigrants that granted him the ability to keep one foot in and one foot out - both experiencing American life and, at times, observing it from afar. This inspired his early writings. Since then, Yinka has traveled and expanded his horizons far beyond Chicago - always using writing to describe his experiences, interpret his observations, and sharpen his thoughts. From the heart of Chicago to New England to Europe to West Africa and beyond, he is attempting to keep his eyes wide open in search of what rests in the realm of "just below the surface." He is currently a Professor of Economics & Strategy at the Institut Africain de Management in Dakar, Senegal and maintains his own blog at https://yinkaezekiel.wordpress.com/.
