When I was thirteen, and when you were thirteen, you were probably very similar to everyone else, but yearning to express the individual who you were, or at least going to become. I tried to be different through my clothes and my music, probably to a fault. When people started wearing Nike Dunks to school, I wore Paul Ulrich Nike SBs; while people were listening to Soulja Boy and T.I., I delved into the depths of the internet, listening to MF Doom and his friends. I think I was a pretty cool thirteen-year-old kid, and if this playlist is any indication, I probably was (albeit a thirteen-year-old with a real ear for R&B music).
